If you are not a Virginia resident you may not be eligible for in-store pickup of certain items.  Please call us for clarification. 

What You Need to Know about Shipping:
It’s your responsibility as the purchaser to be aware of and comply with the laws in your state**. Some items listed for sale by Gadsden Guns may not be legal to own or use in your area, and as knowledgeable as we are, we can’t keep track of every local law and restriction in all 50 states. Feel free to call us with questions if you’re unsure, and if we don’t know the answer, we can probably refer you to somebody who does.
The ATF requires all modern firearms to be shipped to a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder exclusively. This means that we can’t ship firearms directly to your home (unless you hold a FFL). We can ship knives, accessories, and most gun parts direct to consumer, but firearms purchased on are shipped when we have received valid FFL information and the payment has cleared. Items subject to federal regulation by the National Firearm Act (NFA) can only be shipped to a Class III FFL.  No international sales allowed.

Handguns will be shipped via USPS Priority mail unless otherwise specified.  
Extra charges may be assessed if the customer selects an alternate shipping method.

In the event of a lost package we will re-ship the order after the claims process and investigation with the Federal Postal Inspector or other shipping service has concluded it's investigation (usually less then 2 weeks).  If you need a replacement order sooner we will ship a replacement order at your expense (assuming items are in stock) and refund the original order once the carrier confirms the shipping damage or loss on original order.

Gadsden Guns does not assume responsibility for lost or stolen packages left by carrier. If this is of concern to you then please indicate signature required in the order notes.  An extra charge will be assessed for this service based on the shipping method.  Packages that show to be delivered by carrier are considered delivered and are the customers responsibility. Any further action is at the discretion of Gadsden Guns and may require a police report for stolen property.
Payment is due at time of purchase.  Accepted methods are VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Postal Money Orders and personal checks.  When your card is approved, a hold will be put on your account for the total amount of the sale including any shipping/HazMat fees.  This hold will remain in place until the order is shipped (or cancelled).  At that time the transaction will be finalized and your card will be charged.  Shipping of in-stock items will occur within 2 business days of receipt of CLEARED payment.  Items will be shipped via the following methods:

*Item subtotal before tax. Ammunition is not included in free shipping offers. Hazardous Material charges may apply to some products.
**Orders returned because of purchaser ineligibility or because an item is prohibited in the purchaser’s state of residence are subject to a 30% restocking fee. Restocking fee is deducted from the amount paid and the balance refunded to the purchaser.

Payments not honored by your bank will be subject to a $35.00 returned payment fee 

Orders that are placed and cancelled by the customer prior to shipping are assessed a 10% processing fee. This fee is waived if customer elects to received a store credit instead of a refund.


To keep prices low and provide the best service, avoid returns by asking any questions you may have prior to purchase.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) request within 5 business days of the receipt of the product. 

If the item is returned unopened in the original box, we will exchange it, offer you store credit, or offer you a refund, less a 10% restocking fee, based on your original method of payment. The product must be returned within 10 business days of the issuance of the RMA.

All products must be packed in the original packaging, including any accessories, manuals, documentation and registration that shipped with the product. A 20% open box fee in addition to the 10% restocking fee (totaling 30%) will be assessed on any sealed product that is opened or removed from its original packaging.   Items that have been installed or used are non-returnable. Returned items that do not include all the original manufactures packaging and accessories will not be accepted for return.

Defects in items are covered by manufacturer's warranties; please contact the manufacturer directly.

The standard method of refund is in the form of a store credit. All returns require a RMA number.   Prior to returning an item, please send an email to RMA REQUEST referencing the order number and item(s) being returned.  Any shipment that arrives without prior notification will be marked "Return to Sender" and returned at the sender's expense.

The following items may not be returned and all sales are considered final.
1. Handguns, Long guns, Upper and Lower Receivers***
2. Barrels and Bolt Carrier Groups
3. Handguards and Triggers
4. Ammunition
5. Special Orders

The customer is responsible for arranging shipping for any returned item(s).  Gadsden Guns recommends the use of an insured, track-able method of returning products such as USPS Priority Mail, UPS or FedEx.  Responsibility for products lost or damaged in transit to us is that of the customer, not Gadsden Guns.

Once the returned item is received, the customer will be notified of the progress of the return.  Returned orders that qualified for free shipping will have the actual cost of shipping deducted from the refunded amount or store credit.

Regulatory changes - Federal, State, or Local

We are unable to accept items for return or exchange effected by regulatory changes, whether it be federal, state or local.

***Firearms that are purchased by someone who is not eligible to complete the transaction may be returned at Gadsden Guns descretion WITH PRIOR APPROVAL and are subject to a 30% restocking fee.  The purchaser will be responsible for actual shipping both ways and the cost of the shipping will be deducted from the store credit or the balance will be refunded using the original payment method.  The same terms apply if the receiving FFL cannot or will not receive the items.  Please verify that your chosen FFL is willing and able to complete this transaction before finalizing your order.
